Nominations for the 2010 prizes must be submitted by 31 March 2010. Each prize consists of 15,000 US dollars and is accompanied by a plaque inscribed with the recipient's major contributions.

This novel system opens up the way to many applications in a large number of fields such as food, perfumes and agriculture, for instance to deliver pesticides above a specific temperature.

The project was developed by the Romanian researchers and it is unic in the Eastern Europe.
